Reial Mallorca will find out whether their hard work over the past three weeks has paid off when they face Croatian title winners Hajduk Split in the Champions League third qualifying round, first leg match tonight. The squad flew out to Split yesterday after completing an intensive three week training regime in Palma and Kossen, Austria, that new coach Bernd Krauss hopes will pay dividends this evening when he leads out his team for his first competitive match in charge. In the back of many Mallorca player's minds will be their defeat on the away goals rule to Norwegian team Molde at the same stage of the competition two seasons ago. However, Krauss has made very sure his team won't underestimate the talented Croatians and is desperately hoping his strikers will score a vital away goal.
