With the European Commission calling for more frequent price checks before the euro's introduction as growing public awareness of the changeover is accompanied by mounting concern about possible price rises, the Majorcan tourist industry was quick to dispel concerns yesterday. Vicens is adamant that, in the short term, “the Euro will not have any great affect on the tourist industry.”
