Minorca's new Turbocat fast ferry will tomorrow (Monday) arrive in Ciutadella for the first time in order to carry out the final sea trial before coming in to operation. The primary concern is to make sure that the new fast ferry has enough room to moor up in the port and that the vessel will not be too effected by Minorca's diverse sea conditions. The Turbocat will share its mooring with the Iris Jet service operated by Cape Balear and the Mayor of Ciutadella, Pau Lluch, hopes that the arrival of the new Turbocat service will help to persuade the Balearic government and Port Authorities to carry out the much needed improvement to the Port of Ciutadella.
