The Foreign Office has been inundated with queries about travelling abroad. Many British people have already cancelled their holidays following the US terror attacks. The Foreign Office is advising Britons to leave Afghanistan and not to travel to Pakistan unless absolutely necessary. “We are seeing some cancellations,” a spokesman from the British Travel Agents said yesterday. “When something of this magnitude happens, it is bound to have an impact. “We are trying to reassure travellers to act on the basis of Foreign Office advice about the destinations concerned.”The International Federation of Tour Operators, IFTO, said on Monday that all UK tour operators operate in full co-operation with Foreign Office guidelines.
