The new show of Centre Stage Productions, a modern version of La Cenicienta or Cinderella, has been playing to full houses at the Sala Mozart in Palma's Auditorium. Those who have seen the show are full of praise for the lively songs, which are performed in English, and the high standard of performance by the cast, who are of various nationalities. The ugly sisters brought the house down with their antics, while setting the ball where the Prince meets Cinderella in a disco proved to be a popular idea. The show was written and directed by Robert Lloyd Bateman, with musical direction by Conway Jones. Today is the last day, and the show starts prompt at 6.30pm. Centre Stage Productions, who earlier this year staged Evita, are based at the Coleman Hall in the Anglican Church.
