Principe Felipe on board CAM took the initiative in the Cruiser class IMS-500 Group after winning the first race in the 33rd Trofeo Princesa Sofia-Madrid-2012 yesterday. The Prince was supported by his parents who watched the racing from a nearby launch. Felipe had been due to race aboard Sirius V, but decided instead to skipper CAM. Currently second in the 500 Group is Antonio Goresteg's Cantabria Gran Reserva followed by French boat Krazy K-yote Two skippered by Thierry Peponnet. In the IMS-600 Group Markus Weser onboard Danish boat Noa is lying in first place, closely followed by Pedro Perello with Siemens Mobile. Iñaki Casteñer with Ono occupies third place. The Cruiser class regattas continue tomorrow at 12.00.
