On Sunday night Art Garfunkel will take to the stage at Costa Nord accompanied by song writer and musician Jimmy Webb. Earlier in the day Michael Douglas will also present the joint project Costa Nord and Virgin Records will be hosting at the cultural centre this summer as part of the Noches Mediteraneo cycle of summer concerts. The Virgin Records project is a special performance by Enrique Morente based on the poem Los dos abuelos, el blanco y negro by Nicolas Guillen. The spectacle, especially put together for Costa Nord, will be filmed and recorded by Virgin and later released on CD and DVD. But this Sunday night will be for Art and Jimmy, not to mention Catherine Zeta Jones who is expected to make her official musical debut in public. As one half of the legendary folk duo Simon and Garfunkel, Art Garfunkel's melodic high tenor voice provided the harmony to Paul Simon's poetic lyrics. After the pair parted ways, Garfunkel chose a diverse career path, which included acting in several films, releasing nearly a dozen solo albums and spending 12 years (on and off) walking across the United States.
