A man named as Robeiro Marín Marín, 35, of Colombia was stabbed to death during a quarrel in a flat in Ibiza in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to police sources, the victim shared the flat with nine other Colombians. Sources say that the victim, who had been drinking heavily all Saturday night, had been threating to kill the brother of his alleged aggressor all night. The quarrel was over money. He is alleged to have knocked on the door of a room occupied by a man and his wife, demanding to know where the man's brother was. The argument got out of hand and the woman was stabbed. Her husband managed to get hold of a kitchen knife and retaliated. The man and his wife, who is eight and a half months pregnant, were also injured in the incident, but managed to reach hospital in a taxi. The woman was suffering from shock but her life is not in danger. Her husband is being treated for stab wounds and is in serious condition. He is under arrest in hospital. Paramedics spent nearly an hour trying to save the life of Marin. Three of the persons who shared the flat were in Ibiza without papers and have disappeared, sources said.
