The Council of Majorca has approved a 90'000 euro subsidy to enable Mallorca Russia Promotions to open an office in Moscow, to introduce local products to the Russian market. Companies interested in selling their products in Russia and neighbouring countries can use the services of the non-profit making association. They can apply to the office to find out the steps which have to be taken to market their products and will have access to a data base which will help them in their transactions. The office will be opened in September and will respond to the needs of Majorcan firms wanting to enter the most important expanding market in Europe, according to Maria Antonia Munar, president of the Council of Majorca. She announced details of the office, accompanied by Miquel Angel Flaquer, head of the Council's finance department, and Bartomeu Frau, founder of Mallorca Russia Promotions. The office will be staffed by Spanish-speaking Russians.
