Thirteen people have been rescued at Colonia de Sant Jordi by the Cabrera excursion boat and in the Minorcan channel by the ferry Nuranova, the rescue services reported yesterday. The eight crew members of the Trajano were rescued by one of the boats which goes to Cabrera, which answered a distress call. The Trajano had mechanical difficulties and needed help off Colonia de Sant Jordi. Two adults and three children were rescued from the Dot.Net by the Nuranova ferry which was making the crossing from Alcudia to Ciutadella. The Dot.Net had got into difficulties because of adverse weather conditions. The boat was later located and towed by the rescue services to the port of Ciutadella in Minorca.
