Reial Mallorca manager Gregorio Manzano will today evaluate the fitness of new signings Walter Pandiani and Turu Flores to see if they are ready to face Valencia when the new season kicks-off tomorrow. Manzano welcomed the two former Deportivo players to Son Moix yesterday after Mallorca finally tied up the sale of Albert Luque to the Galician club in the late hours of Thursday night. Depor paid Mallorca around 15 million euros for Luque in a players-plus-cash deal that saw Pandiani and Flores move in the opposite direction. Uruguayan striker Pandiani joins Mallorca on a season-long loan deal, while Argentinean striker Flores signed a full contract with the club. Manzano yesterday expressed his delight at signing the new players. They will bring quality and experience to the team, he said. Pandiani is a player who likes a lot of space, while Turu can manoeuvre in tight spaces, although it has the same effect in the area. They're both great players and I'm really happy to have signed the two of them, added Manzano.
