Reial Mallorca were handed one of only two all-Primera Liga clashes in the Copa del Rey after yesterday's draw for the third round pitted the Islanders against Valladolid. Mallorca beat Valladolid 3-1 earlier in the season thanks to a hat-trick from Walter Pandiani and will be hoping they can reapeat the feat when the two sides meet for the first leg on January 8. The second leg will be played the following week on January 15. Cup holders Deportivo will meet giantkillers Alicante, while losing finalists Real Madrid have been handed a tie against second division high-fliers Terrassa. Segunda B side Alicante, who overturned Valencia in the second round, will be faced with a more difficult task against Deportivo as the ties are now played over two legs. Modest Catalan club Terrassa, who have surprised many by their impressive start in the second division, will be guaranteed a big pay-day when they entertain European champions Real Madrid. Segunda Division leaders Xerez, who knocked out Malaga in the last round, meet Atletico Madrid in another appetising tie that will see the return of Xerez coach Bernd Schuster to face one of his old clubs. Real Union de Irun, who along with Alicante are the only Segunda B side left in the competition after they brushed aside illustrious neighbours Athletic Bilbao in the
