THURSDAY and Friday of next week are public holidays throughout the Balearics, and Easter Monday is a holiday in Palma and some other towns and villages, which makes for a confusing shopping situation. It is best to plan in advance, so you can have your main shopping done by Wednesday, and you can replenish stocks on Saturday.
Supermarkets and the municipal markets in Palma will be open on Thursday as usual, and again on Saturday, but will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. The Forn de Campos bakeries will be open every single day, but other bakeries can choose when to open, so it is best to check locally.
And although it is a busy week for tourism, information offices will be closed for the entire weekend.
