MARIANNE Faithfull and Van Morrison will both be performing in Palma later this year.
Both booked their places in the rock and roll history books many years ago. Faithfull as Mick Jagger's muse in the wild days of the Rolling Stones and Van Morrison as the Lion of Belfast. Faithfull and Morrison will be performing at the Auditorium in Palma in December kicking of a year of celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of Palma's famous music shop and promoter Xocolat.
Faithfull will be performing for one night, and one night only, on December 7.
She will be using her appearance in Palma to promote her new album Before the Poison. She will be accompanied by guest artist Fernando Saunders, the bass player more famously known for his work with Lou Reed.
Her new album features a number of guest artists including Nick Cave, P.J. Harvey and Damon Albarn of the British band Blur.
Van Morrison will be performing on December 22 and 23 also promoting a new album, What's Wrong with the Picture. Van Morrison is no stranger to Majorca.
He has performed at the Auditorium before as well as at the Costa Nord cultural centre in Valldemossa invited by Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones.
