A TOTAL of 327 owners of small and medium sized businesses in the area of Capdepera have filed a complaint to the General Treasury of State and the Ministry of Public Administrations about the all-inclusive holiday packages. These business owners consider that the arrival of the all-inclusive packages to the island is an illegal monopoly which is creating total ruin for them. The situation and the repercussions have been allowed and silenced by the Balearic Government, they added. The initiative to put this matter in the hands of the justice system, was started by one business man from Cala Rajada, Salvador Escriva, who decided to start a petition amongst the businesses in the area. His aim is to find some sort of solution to this matter, which, he considers, has ruined the tourism season this year. All-inclusive packages have also created problems for economical, social and working interests for those sectors which depend on tourism, he added.
