THE contract to build the new Son Espases hospital has been awarded to the group of companies (formed by Dragados, FCC, Construccion SA, Melchor Mascaro SL and Llabres Feliu).
The budget is 635 million euros, and work will commence within a month. Health minister Aina Castillo, accompanied by Esteve Bardolet and Carlos Garau, deans of the Colleges of Finance and Engineers, who were involved in the decision, announced the details. Another tender for the work which would have worked out much more expensive had initially been favoured.
