New school approved
THE Balearic Cabinet has approved the construction of a new state school in Sencelles. The new school will have six classrooms for infants and 12 for primary education. With this school the Government is hoping to tackle the progressive increase in children in the area needing a school place. It is expected that the Government will give a total of 3'381'876 euros to the Balearic Institute for Educational and Cultural Infrastructures and Services (Ibisec), who will plan, build and maintain the school.
A prize of 350'000 euros was won on the Spanish National Organisation for the Blind's (ONCE) Thursday draw. The number was 61'871. ONCE said that the number was sold by Maria Antonia Pascual, who sold 10 coupons which won 35'000 euros each.
