PALMA
MAJORCA'S very own Pirates of the Mediterranean are back after a winter season of plundering the United States and this Saturday they will be hoisting the Jolly Roger over Magalluf in aid of GOSHCC, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Six child patients and their families are being flown out for a week's holiday as guests of Thomson Holidays and they will be joined at the Pirates Adventure Charity Premiere by a Black Pearl-full of leading celebrities. They are all coming to Majorca, courtesy of First Choice Holidays, to help raise funds for the children's hospital. This is the event's fourth year and Andrew Clemence, managing Director at Pirates Adventure said yesterday that they hope to raise more than the treasure chest of 80'000 pounds donated last year.

Celebrities including Sharron Davies, Claire Sweeney, Danny Baker, chef Aldo Zilli, Nigel Benn, Patsy Palmer, Steve McFadden, Laurie Brett and Emma Barton will also be attending the hugely popular show which is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year.

Matt Forest, Head of Community Fundraising at GOSHCC said “we are delighted that Pirates Adventure has named GOSH as its chosen charity for the fourth year running. We are currently aiming to raise 250 million pounds over the next five years so Pirates' generous support is vital to our success.”
