By Staff Reporter PALMA National police officers have recovered more than 100 articles of great archeological value which had been stolen from a series of underwater sites.

Police recovered centuries old vases and other items in a series of raids on homes across Majorca. Various people have been arrested and charged with offences against Spanish heritage. In the raids, apart from the archeological objects police also discovered 500 marijuana plants. Police would only say that the raids were carried out on homes in rural areas of Majorca. “This is an on-going operation and we are not ruling out the possibility of further arrests,” a spokesperson said yesterday.
