SNOOKER star Dennis Taylor was the guest at the latest Majorca Celebrity Lunch, which took place yesterday at Palma's Castillo Son Vida hotel.
The former world champion used his Irish charm and wit to keep diners entertained with stories about the professional snooker circuit and some of the personalities involved in the game.

Taylor, who is now a BBC commentator, also appeared on the hit television show Strictly Come Dancing in 2005 and is a regular panellist on game shows for all channels.

The event, organised by Azur Productions, brought together leading members of Majorca's business community for the third celebrity lunch of the year.
Among the guests were British Consul Paul Abrey and Margaret Whittaker, founder of Slimming World, co-owner of Son Amar nightspot and owner of Moods Bar in Portals Nous.

Kevin Marsh, of Azur Productions, said everyone enjoyed the event and found Dennis to be a highly-entertaining and humorous speaker. “This was the last event this year, but we are already planning for 2009. It was a first-class occasion in great surroundings and a marvellous networking opportunity for clients,” he said.
