PALMA
THE Balearics's first luxury entertainment, arts and culture complex was inaugurated in Palma yesterday evening.
The Riskal centre in calle Antonia Martinez Fiol, on the Establiments roundabout, opens its doors to the public today offering the very best of Majorcan culture.

Last night's unveiling was a gala affair with local dignitaries, celebrities, personalities and politicians attending the grand event.
The complex is divided into two buildings; one a restored 19th century mansion reflecting traditional Majorca and the other a modern black building.
The complex not only features two cafes but three restaurants, one offering Majorcan Mediterranean food, another select tapas and the third live jazz.
The Riskal also includes a delicatessen, with a large and quality wine cellar, out of which it will be operating its own luxury outside catering service and a cookery school.

The complex has its own art gallery, which will house permanent and visiting exhibitions, an auction house and an extensive bookshop.
Convention and business facilities and services are also available.
And, for those looking for a bit more excitement, the Riskal also includes the select Jartan's Night Club.
