By Humphrey Carter MICHELS “THE police called me mid-morning. I went up there and identified the body as that of my mother Iris. It was very sad but at least we've found her,” David Perkins told the Bulletin after the body of his 78-year-old mother, who went missing in Santa Ponsa on Saturday afternoon, was found yesterday morning.

Iris's body was discovered at the foot of a small step at the entrance to an apartment in a block of flats in Costa de la Calma by a Colombian builder working at the property.

He immediately called the police and the Guardia Civil and paramedics rushed to the scene fearing they were dealing with the missing Briton.
However, it appears that Iris had died over night on Saturday.
