Government to help ex Spanair employees l The Balearic government said yesterday that it would do everything in its power to help people who have been made redundant after the grounding of the airline Spanair, to find other work.

Partido Popular (PP) spokesman Rafael Bosch was speaking after a meeting held with a group of ex Spanair employees at government offices in Palma. Bosch pointed out that the base of Spanair at the time of it going into administration was in Barcelona although the Balearic government, he said, would do whatever was in its power to help.

Representatives of those made redundant wanted assistance from the government in securing their final payments from Spanair in what they claim is an increasingly “complicated” situation.
