Palma.—Just look for the sticker of a dog saying ‘Si' and this will indicate that the taxi is prepared to transport you and your pet.
Taxis in most of the island's key municipalities have agreed to carry pets.
Until recently, local councils have been very reluctant to allow pets on board taxis and public transport in general, but over the past few months, a number of local authorities have softened their stance.

Pilot schemes have been rolled out in Palma, Calvia and Andratx and in Andratx, for example, 32 of the 34 taxi drivers have been given the green light to carry pets.

In Palma, Radio Taxi Ciutat has signed up to the scheme while in Calvia over 20 of the municipality's 214 taxis are pet-friendly.
Obviously, when booking a taxi passengers are asked to inform the taxi company that they intend to travel with their pet so a pet-friendly cabbie can be dispatched but it appears that it will not be too long before all taxis will be animal-friendly in Majorca.
