In view of everything else that is going on right now, one would think that changing Palma's official name to Palma de Mallorca would be least of the politicians' worries.

But no, today in Parliament, Palma City Council's proposal that the name be changed to Palma de Mallorca is going to be debated.
At a time of trying to save public spending, should the proposal be approved, the bill for changing all the officially printed guides and other “Palma” headed council documents is going to cost a small fortune.
