The leader of the opposition, Francina Armengol, will today challenge the President of the Balearics, Jose Ramon Bauza, to explain to parliament what further cuts he is planning on introducing.

Alarm bells are already ringing after the Minister for Finance, Josep Ignasi Aguilo, last week revealed that certain taxes are going to go up, but another phase of cuts was also announced but no clear indication as to where the axe is going to fall was given.

Armengol has become a harsh critic of Bauza, accusing him of being more interested in photo calls than talking politics and getting the Balearics back on its feet.

Yesterday she went one further and accused Bauza of being more concerned about landing a top job in government in Madrid, than helping the Balearics get through the crisis.
