Deya.—An independent political party in Deya have criticised the lack of planning in the public water supply in North Majorca which has resulted in the mountain town of Deya suffering cuts since last week.

The party said that there are some homes in the town which have no water at all and said that the council should have reinforced the supply with tankers of drinking water.

The same shortage was suffered last year. Opposition parties had warned the ruling Partido Popular that better use of water resources needed to be made but no heed was paid. The independent party said that some homes in Deya had been informed of restrictions but others had not.
