The prosecution yesterday submitted a plea for a seven-and-a-half year sentence for a man who allegedly stabbed another in the red light district of Palma.

The 55-year-old apparently stabbed his victim twice during an argument on the night of September 10, 2011.
Both of the men involved were North African and the victim was stabbed twice in his thorax.
The wounds could have proved fatal had it not been for the swift response from the emergency service and the prosecution want the suspect charged for attempted homicide.

They also want a ten year restraining order issued and the suspect to be fined 9'000 euros.
