Cala Millor.—The first “Oktoberfest” of Cala Millor will be held between 21 and 30th September in Plaza Mallorca.
The launch has been possible due to the support of the town councils of Son Servera and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and the Cala Millor Hoteliers' Association.

The “Grup Trui” has been commissioned to mount a spectacular beer tent and interior measuring 900 square metres, 250 of which will be set aside for bars and areas for serving food to the public.

The tent will have capacity for 650 people to be comfortably seated at typically long German wooden tables. Ten people will be able to sit on benches at either side.

Visitors to the Oktoberfest will be able to sample typical German pork dishes, meat pies, sausage, sauerkraut and salads, all prepared by hand by Abel's.

In terms of musical entertainment which is essential to the atmosphere of an Oktoberfest, the event in Cala Millor will have its own orchestra “Shake” which is arriving hotfoot from Bavaria with plenty of experience in such events.

The tent will be decorated with wall hangings and trappings that represent the purest form of Bavarian style.
The waiters and those pulling the beer pumps will dress in traditional lederhosen whilst waitresses will be wearing tight-waisted flaired skirts typical of Bavarian costume.

For those interested in the kind of beer, organisers have confirmed it will be “Paulaner.” Twelve pumps will be set up serving a variety of beers, including non-alcoholic.
