Palma.—Work has started on transforming the abandoned UTO aparthotel in to the luxury Bendinat Mar block of apartments on the sea front in San Agustin.

Until a few years ago, the building was comprised of first class hotel apartments but it is undergoing a conversion into luxury homes.
Plans have been drawn up to provide 79 two, three or four-bedroomed apartments, all with spectacular views over the Bay of Palma. Refurbishment is being carried out in style by the Bendinat Group with the emphasis on comfort and first class fittings in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Heating and air conditioning will be finely tuned to suit individual tastes and automatic entry phones with cameras will be fitted so apartment dwellers always know who is calling.

There will be a communal reception area and a concierge who will manage the underground car parking and six lifts. There will also be a number of sports facilities on site including a gymnasium, two swimming pools, one open air and one indoor.

Bendinat Mar will be just a little more than 10 minutes from the centre of the city.
There is convenient access to the dual carriage way and Avenida Joan Miró leading into Palma, and to all the nearly nautical sports installations (Palma's club Nautico, the Club de Mar and Puerto Portals.)
There are three golf courses at Son Vida and Bendinat has its own “Real Golf.”
