Palma.—A survey carried out by the veterinary pharmaceutical company CEVA revealed yesterday that half of the animal lovers in the Balearics would like to take their pet to work if the opportunity arose.

Recent studies have suggested that those people who have been able to take their pets to work appear to suffer less stress in their jobs. However, there are very few circumstances under which employers will allow pets to accompany staff. One of the main reasons why people want to take their pets to work, said the survey is for them to form relationships with other animals and so that they are not left alone.

Owners also wanted their free time at the office, or their meal break to be spent with their animals; 55% said they devoted more than two hours of their time a day to their pets.
