A 37-year-old man and a 23 year-old woman, both Spanish have been arrested after a marijuana sales point in calle Santa Florentina in the Palma suburb of Son Gotleu was broken up by National Police. Balearic Police Headquarters said yesterday that the Drugs Squad had begun investigations two months ago after being tipped off by a number of local residents. Parents of children attending schools near Calle Santa Florentina had also alerted police of drug activity. After the property was raided on Thursday, officers confirmed they found 25 marijuana “joints” ready for sale and around 850 euros in cash. Young people gathering outside the property had drawn the attention of residents.
