Palma.While preparations are already underway for a third series of Sky 1's hit series Mad Dogs to be shot on the island this summer, a US remake of the award-winning series is reportedly in the works.
The original Mad Dogs starred John Simm, Marc Warren, Max Beesley and Philip Glenister as four middle-aged friends who take a holiday here to Majorca but find themselves drawn into a world of crime and corruption.
In fact, not only is the series being filmed here, it is actually set here and Mad Dogs has enjoyed massive global success giving Majorca plenty of promotion. The third series is expected to be shot this summer and local production company, Palma Pictures, is expected to facilitate again.
The Council of Majorca, which invested in series one, has not got any money to pump into series three.
