Joan Collins THE open air celebrations on January 19, the eve of San Sebastian Day (the city's patron) will this year have a varied programme. Los Ilegales, Barracudas, The Magnetic Band and The Lost Revolt will give a concert on January 14, to open the celebrations in the Plaza Mayor. On January 19, there will be concerts catering for all tastes in six different squares around the city centre. The Plaza Major will welcome Melendi, Malu and the Majorcan group La Musicalite. Alternative music will be played in the Plaza Juan Carlos I by the Swedish group The Soundtrack of our Lives, the North American group Sloan, the Italian group Jennifer Gentle (formed by Marco Fasolo and Alessio Gastaldello) and the Majorcans The Redsuns. Jazz from Doris Cales, Perikas Jazz Reunion and Julio Barreto and Los Dixielanders will be played in the Plaza de Santa Eulalia. Marc Parrot, Tutu-Pa and the Majorcans Anegats will play in the Plaza de España. Melodic music will be performed in the Plaza Cort by Sergio Dalma, Los Bravos and Los Miticos 70, a group formed by Tony Ronald, Micky, Jeannette and Lorenzo Santamaria. Flamenco, on the other hand, will be performed in the Plaza San Francisco by Los Caños, Alpresa y Oxalis and the gypsy trio formed by Javi, Juande and Kiko.
