PALMA
OSCAR-WINNING actress Gwyneth Paltrow's culinary tour of Spain went to air on the UKFood channel on Monday night and the series filmed last year is running every weekday as Paltrow, the top American chef Mario Batali and the New York Times food writer Mark Bittman investigate the delights of Spanish food.

Paltrow is no stranger to Spain, she spent a month in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, as a gap student learning the language while at University and has also visited the country on numerous occasions, including the Balearics, for summer holidays.

So, it was no surprise when Paltrow and her crew filmed one of the episodes here in Majorca, Minorca and Ibiza.
The episode “Island Hopping” will be broadcast at 9pm on Monday, January 19 and then repeated throughout the day on the Tuesday.
The series was originally filmed for the PSB channel in the United States and received record viewing figures. Here in Majorca, Paltrow and Mario cooked a sea food grill by the sea.
