SANTA, otherwise known as Allen Graham, delivered over 150 presents to children from 10 “Children's Homes” around the island.
The event took place at the Palma Aquarium, where the children were able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the aquarium, followed by lunch.
At 2.30pm groups of children from each home were called up by Santa to collect their own present which they had previously asked for.
They had been given the opportunity to choose their present beforehand and the money was raised by various fundraising events before Christmas including Queens College and ABC Business Club.

A lot of organising, buying, wrapping and transportation took place, time freely given by volunteers for the charity.
Many of the children will never be able to be re-united with their parents, and some have never received a present of any kind so the occasion was a very emotional one.

Some of the presents were so large compared to their tiny recipients that the monitors from the homes and charity helpers had to assist them. Allen commented after the event: “It is moments like these that make us realise what a difference we can make to their lives and bring them some happiness. My warmest thanks go out to all who helped to organise and raise money for this wonderful event”.
