Calvia.—The Calvia council are appalled at the BBC 3 programme The Truth About Magalluf. They are so dismayed at the “fly on the wall documentary” they are writing to the production company which made the programme and the BBC to express their displeasure at what they see as a “stitch up.” The long interview with the Mayor was edited down to just a few seconds; the initial letter sent by the production company to the Calvia council explaining what they wanted to do and giving an outline of the content was rather different to the actual programme which was screened on Monday. “We have a public relations company which represents us in Britain. We have told them to contact all involved and underlined our displeasure at this programme,” said a Calvia spokesperson yesterday. The Mayor has seen the programme and is said to be “appalled”.
