Palma.—Kilometre 15 along the Lluchmajor motorway is becoming a fog black spot.
Yesterday, just 12 days after a fatal accident at the same spot, three vehicles were involved in a multiple collision caused by early morning fog, the very same which caused the accident just over ten days ago which claimed the life of a 54-year-old man.

He was getting out of his rental car after having nudged a vehicle in front under poor visibility when he was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.
He and his wife had only arrived on the island a few hours before from Barcelona to spend New Year with friends and family.
Yesterday's accident happened at 9am and involved a Seat Ibiza and Seat Cordoba and an Opel Meriva.
All three vehicles were seriously damaged as a result of the multiple collision but only one person, a woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a clinic in Palma for a precautionary medical check up.

The three damaged vehicle blocked most of the Lluchmajor bound side of the motorway causing long tail backs while the Guardia Civil controlled the traffic as engineers cleared the vehicles and the debris from the road.

Last night, the Guardia Civil advised drivers to proceed with extreme care in the fog.
