STAFF REPORTER PRESIDENT of Balearic pro-Palestinian lobby “Taula per Palestina,” Laura Camargo said yesterday that she was hopeful for a turnout of 4'000 people at tomorrow's planned mass demonstration in Plaza España to protest against Israeli aggression in the Gaza strip.

If this number of people supports the event, it will be double that which gathered in the same place on the 2nd of this month to express outrage at the attacks being made on the Palestinian civilian population. Camargo said that lead banners at tomorrow's protest will read “stop the massacre of the Palestinian people” and that the occasion is open to everyone - all organisations both public and private who wish to “condemn these war crimes.” Those interested, she said, can log on to solidaritatpalestina@gmail.com. She said the demonstration will start in Plaza España, then advance down Calle Olms, Las Ramblas, Calle Union and the Passeig del Born. Camargo said it was of the utmost importance that Spain stopped commercial dealings with Israel.
