BRITAIN IS THE TOP MAJORCAN EASTER DESTINATION

SPANIARDS are not only flocking to London to buy a new yacht, a record number of Majorcan residents are making the most of the strength of the euro against the pound, albeit starting to weaken slowly, and are heading to the capital for their Easter holidays.

The Balearic Association of Travel Agents this week reported that London has become the number one destination and that a further increase in the sale of airline tickets and travel packages is expected as the Easter holidays draw closer.

On-line travel agents have also reported a similar surge in demand and with high street shops in London and around Britain offering major discounts, many Spaniards are opting for London instead of the traditional shopping trips to New York.
