MAJORCA Elvis Presley impersonator Jose Antonio Viana Saez was yesterday hoping to leave his rivals all shook up in the search to find Europe's best imitator of the rock and roll King.
He was strutting his stuff against 60 other contestants in Blackpool to win the coveted title and the chance to visit and perform in Memphis, Tennessee, the former hometown of Elvis (right). He was scheduled to perform Elvis hits Love Me Tender, A Little Less Conversation and Wooden Heart for the judges in his bid to win the prestigious contest.
Jose Antonio normally performs his Elvis tribute act to British tourists in hotels across Majorca, but he has also appeared in Madrid and Barcelona.
He commented: Elvis's music is still as important today as it was when he was alive. I am confident I have the voice, mannerisms and the look to win the competition.
