Over 40 stops on Palma tram line to the airport

PALMA'S future tram line scheduled in its first phase to run between Plaza de España and the airport, will have more than 40 stopping off points from start to finish. Once outside the city, the track will run along secondary streets through the Playa de Palma, parallel to the sea front.

The number of stops and their locations form part of an agreement over the eventual route of the tram line which has been thrashed out over months between Palma City Council and the Balearic government. Now that consensus has been reached over essentials, a Working Party representing both institutions will be putting together a document formalising the development and management of the tram line to be signed later this month.
