HEAVY snow and thick fog at Madrid airport yesterday caused a second day of serious disruptions to flights yesterday.
A host of Real Mallorca fans were still stranded in the capital after having flown over for Sunday evening's match and yesterday, hundreds of Balearics passengers hoping to fly either to or from Madrid had to endure considerable delays.

Sources for state carrier Iberia described the situation as “complicated”.
A total of 22 flights to and from Palma were disrupted and ten were even cancelled because Barajas airport was only able to operate at a third of its capacity with only two runways open and no improvement in the situation was expected yesterday when Real Mallorca had hoped to fly back to the island after postponing its scheduled flight on Sunday night after a four hour delay.
