Ferry cancellations due to strong winds and rough seas

VALENCIA THE shipping company Balearia yesterday cancelled the sailings of its fast ferries, Nixe and Federico Garcia Lorca, due to strong winds. These ferries are on the Ciutadella to Alcudia route, and the route between Denia, Ibiza and Palma. The shipping company said that all passengers affected would receive a message on their mobile, or they would try to locate them using other methods, to advise them of the changes in the routes and offer them an alternative. The company were offering ticket refunds to inconvenienced passengers or the option of taking another, conventional, ferry.
