Palma.—The new Bishop of Majorca, Javier Salinas, visited the headquarters of the Grup Serra media organization, which publishes the Majorca Daily Bulletin, in Palma on Friday evening.

Javier Salinas was ordained as the new Bishop just over a week ago during a ceremony at Palma Cathedral and yesterday he was presented with a collection of special and unique editions of books about Majorca, including Miró i Mallorca, by the Chairman of the Grup Serra, Pere A. Serra.

Javier Salinas, who arrived in Majorca from Valencia, said that he is still investigating the island but admitted that his first impressions have been very positive and encouraging.

His first official act was to preside over a special mass at the monastery in Lluc last weekend.
During his visit to the Grup Serra, the Bishop also met and held talks with the various directors of the group and the editors of the daily newspapers including Jason Moore, editor of the Majorca Daily Bulletin.

The Bishop then toured the publishing house meeting staff and posing for pictures in the newsrooms of each of the daily newspapers.
