PALMA
BALEARIC ports are the busiest passengers ports in Spain, according to a report published yesterday by the State Port Authority.
The report comes just 24 hours after the President of the Balearic Port Authority, Francesc Triay, said that he expects Palma's cruise industry to enjoy further growth this year.

According to the data made public by the State Port Authority, Balearic ports managed by the Balearic Port Authority - Palma, Alcudia, Mahon, Ibiza and La Savina in Formentera - handled a total of 5.5 million passengers last year.

The Port of Algerciras, the gateway to North Africa, and Spain's two enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla, handled the second largest amount of traffic with 4.64 million passengers.
