THE Balearic sea bed, its threats and the annual campaigns to clean and protect it feature in the first documentary to have been made about climate change in Spain.

The documentary “Climate Change in Spain: a challenge facing everyone” was made by the National Geographic Channel, with the cooperation of energy company, Endesa and was presented in Madrid yesterday.

The documentary, the first of its kind to show what effects climate change is having on Spain, was filmed last summer and is due to be shown on the National Geographic Channel on February 1.

The documentary makers focused on ten areas of the country which have been critically affected or face the serious threat of environmental deterioration.
