Driver seriously injured in early morning crash

PALMA
A 40-year-old man was seriously injured yesterday morning when his vehicle veered off the Sineu road and careered into a concrete bridge.
The driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, not only suffered serious multiple injuries but he also had to be freed from the wreckage by fire fighters.

He was initially admitted to Son Llatzer hospital but later transferred to Son Dureta because of the nature of his injuries.
Crash investigators spent most of the morning at the scene trying to establish what happened because no other vehicles were involved.
Emergency services responded to another accident in the early hours of yesterday morning along the Avenidas in Palma.
The driver apparently lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree.
In this case, however, the driver escaped unhurt.
