LLUCMAJOR council has started the procedures to construct two municipal car parks in S'Arenal, in the Avenida Europa and in the Plaza Reina Maria Cristina.
The total budget for both contracts (still to be awarded) will be around 900'000 euros, 550'140 euros for the first car park and 382'000 for the second. The project to construct car parks in S'Arenal has been put forward several times, as there is such a lack of parking spaces in the area. A year ago the council asked for money from the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Commerce and Tourism to build three underground car parks.
