Abrochure of holiday homes in the country on the Island of Formentera was presented yesterday by local Tourism and Transport Councillor, Josep Mayans.

The selection of some 80 properties had already received a round of applause at the recent International Tourism Fair in Madrid. Mayans said that the brochure was a response to holiday companies who complained of the lack of accommodation to rent out on the island before and after the main tourist season.

The rurally located properties, which have all been stamped with a seal of quality by the Tourist Board, add another 1'000 places to other accommodation on Formentera. Each has a maximum of 6 bedrooms housing up to 12 people.
